Contica appoints Microsoft MVP Nino Crudele as first Head of Cybersecurity
The Swedish Systems Integrator, Contica, welcomes Nino Crudele as its first Head of Cybersecurity. Nino brings more than 25 years of experience within IT and delivering secure cloud integration solutions for global businesses and organisations such as the UK Government, HSBC, Aston Martin and Capita. With a proven track record and his in-depth expertise on cybersecurity, the acclaimed Microsoft MVP will provide new momentum to Contica and help build a superior service portfolio.

Today, an average company is using up to 110 SaaS applications at any given time, alongside a range of hardware. Compare that to an average of just 8 apps in 2015 and the incredible pace of digital transformations becomes evident. With the evolving technology stack – and the data that comes with it – minimising threats, identifying blind spots and ensuring a high level of data protection should be at the very top of every CTO’s agenda.
So at a time when cybersecurity is in high demand and one of the hottest IT skills for 2023, the Swedish IT-company Contica succeeds in attracting the internationally acclaimed expert: Nino Crudele. Combining decades of experience within Microsoft Azure Integration Services together with hands-on knowledge on cybersecurity and cloud strategies, this top hire becomes nothing short of sensational for us, as experts in system integration.
“Nino Crudele is the perfect fit for Contica moving forward. Having been a Microsoft MVP for 18 years, he brings both vast international experience and a clear focus on cybersecurity to the table. He will partly complement our own service portfolio within system integrations, but more importantly build a brand new business area within cybersecurity. This niche expertise will broaden our offer to both existing and new clients.”
– Stefan Wånggren, CEO, Contica
Nino Crudele will take up his new position as Head of Cybersecurity at Contica on the 1st of February. He joins from Energy Exemplar, where he has been the Lead Cloud Architect responsible for security and integration best practices across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Prior to Energy Exemplar, Nino was in charge of the global Microsoft Azure infrastructure at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. However, for the global community of system integrators and Microsoft professionals, Nino is first and foremost a highly appreciated integration expert – a familiar face as a keynote speaker at many industry events.
It is also this very same passion that became a reason for Crudele joining Contica:
“When I met Stefan Wånggren and the team at Contica I was impressed by the transparency of their culture, their expertise and strong passion – be it discussing system integration, cloud computing or technology in general. With a unique position and tremendous potential, I’m confident we’ll be doing great things together.”
In order to be the most relevant IT supplier for organisations caring for their IT landscape and confidential data, Contica now completes their range of integration expertise. From requirements and architecture, testing and deployment to maintenance and security – throughout the entire lifecycle of the cloud solutions. According to Stefan Wånggren the company will continue steering its service portfolio toward optimal relevance and to make Contica the undisputed challenger to the industry giants – appointing Nino Crudele as Head of Cybersecurity being the first quantum leap for 2023.
