Introduktion
Nice to have a quick chat with you, Divya. This is a short version of Integration Love Story, and we’d like to start with you introducing yourself. We know you as a tech person, but if you were to introduce yourself to someone outside of tech, how would you do it?
Sure. I’m Divya Swarnkar. I’m from India — I grew up there, came here to do my master’s, and after that stayed on. In terms of family, I have a 13-year-old daughter and two dogs, so I’m a really busy mom. Work-wise, I’ve been with Microsoft for quite some time, currently in Logic Apps working as a product manager. I’m really enjoying both fronts right now — personal and professional.
Hundar, familj och livet utanför jobbet
You mentioned the dogs — can you tell us a bit about them?
I love animals, I love dogs. When I came to the US, having a pet was one of the things I’d always wanted, but I was never quite ready for the responsibility. Once I got here, I was ready. I got my first dog — his name was Buddy — who lived happily for 13 years. After he passed away, I fostered a dog and just fell in love with her. That’s my older dog, Choo. She’s 9 years old.
Then my daughter always wanted a puppy, so we got another one — Lily, a golden retriever. So now I have one daughter and two girls. And when my daughter asked, she promised to do all the work. So we got her.
Vägen in i Logic Apps-teamet
You’re wearing a Logic Apps t-shirt — how did you end up on the Logic Apps team?
I was actually working for a team within Microsoft that was building integration services on top of Logic Apps. So I started basically as a customer of Logic Apps, in the very early days of the product. I worked closely with the product team and provided them a lot of feedback on what we needed as a customer — what capabilities were missing, what would make the product better. While doing that, I just fell in love with the product and with the people working on it. A very committed, very passionate set of individuals who really want the best for customers and for the product. I was fortunate to get hired, and since then I’ve stayed with this team. I don’t want to leave.
Is your advice to the community to keep giving feedback?
Yes, absolutely. When I was on the other side, I saw the difference that feedback made to the product. That hasn’t changed at all — in fact, the feedback loop is getting shorter and shorter. Things are changing so fast right now that we want feedback every single day. This team has always driven on customer feedback. We don’t build things just for the sake of building them. We build things where customers need it, where the market is driving those needs.
Agentic loop och varför integration är rätt plattform för AI
The market right now is very much about agentic AI. What was the thinking behind the agent loop announcement in Logic Apps?
This space is moving so fast. And I think when it started, people were wondering if it was just hype. But it’s not hype — we are seeing more and more real use cases, real applications, real outcomes from using AI.
Where we fit in is this: building agents is an extension of integration. What is your agent doing at the end of the day? It’s integrating with different systems as tools. It’s integrating with different business processes. For us to think about agents was a natural progression. When customers are going to infuse AI into their business processes, the question becomes: which platform can offer these capabilities best? It has to be an integration platform.
And Logic Apps has 1,400 connectors. If you think about it, we are already offering 1,400 MCP servers out of the box. We offer workflow orchestration, we offer agents, and we offer MCP servers out of the box. That’s everything you need to build agents.
Integration Love Story
You’ve been coming from a different background before working with Microsoft. What made you fall in love with integration — what was the moment where you thought, I want to keep doing this?
My love is a combination of both the product and the people I work with. That has always stayed, and it’s actually getting better with time.
In terms of my integration story right now — with all the AI work that’s happening in the team, there is a passion and energy around it that I have never felt before. This is the best time to be in the integration space. I’m having a lot of fun. The people I’m working with are super energized and so excited to build these things.
I almost feel like I’m working in a startup right now. We think of ideas and we’re able to deliver something in just a few weeks. It’s a very exciting time.
And I feel like agent loop is addictive. Personally, that’s how I feel — you build one or two agents and you get hooked. I’m seeing that with everyone I talk to. You build one agent and then suddenly you’re at five, ten. It’s very addictive.
So that’s the message for all integrators out there: don’t try agentic Logic Apps — because it is addictive. Or actually, do try it. Start somewhere, have fun with it, even if you don’t have a customer case right now. It’s going to come. And give us feedback — we’re building this together.
Thank you so much for joining us.
Thank you for having me. True pleasure.
